The Director of Fraud Risk is responsible for leading sound risk management through data driven decisions. As Santander continues to grow in the online banking space, ensuring an amazing customer experience is delivered while managing digital fraud risk is key. They will lead a team of fraud risk professionals focused on the prevention, detection, recovery and resolution of risks emanating from online banking.

Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company.Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies.Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies.Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas, with a focus on online banking. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.Fraud risk rules and strategies aimed at reducing fraud losses and avoiding future threatsEnsuring a robust set of standards and policy exist which depict key risks of processing online bank transactions and the controls necessary to be successfulPerform fraud risk assessments on both function and processes existing within the Line of BusinessDeveloping adhoc data, reporting and analytics which will not only detect fraud but also clearly depict risk compared to appetiteRecommend, develop and implement risk capabilities necessary to effectively mitigate fraudAnalyzes various types of fraud as well as reviews fraud strategies, evaluates fraud trends, explains fraud losses, identifies and assists with the closure of gaps and related deliverablesExecutes and manages the development of procedures, ongoing maintenance of controls, mitigation plans, testing, and risk assessmentsBuilds relationships with internal and external business partners and industry peers to facilitate information-sharing opportunities and identification of best practices in regards to fraud riskPerforms fraud risk assessments to be in compliance with the risk framework requirementsOversees data models to support business unit analytics and performance management

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field or equivalent work experience:Work Experience: 9+ Years Risk Management/Controls Experience in digital / online bankingStrong risk management principles, methodologies and tools, governance principles and activity preferably in a financial services technology environmentStrong knowledge of workflow/processes and risks/controls, including: origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections/workoutAdvanced risk, process, and control validation and/or assessment skillsAbility to direct, train and guide peers, subordinates and managementAbility to handle conflict resolution with other groups to ensure appropriate accounting guidance is followedAbility to adjust to new developments/changing circumstancesAbility to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closureAbility to effectively interact with the market, executive management and vendorsAbility to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and competing prioritiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
