What’s the role?

The Risk and Fraud team enables Etsy to grow sustainably by safeguarding the marketplace, creating fair and transparent risk experiences, and preventing financial loss at scale. You’ll take a multi-layered approach to understand the ways in which buyers and sellers introduce financial risk into our ecosystem, develop strategies and product experiences that balance the customer experience with the need to combat risk, and work with our engineering and enforcement teams to build solutions. You will also partner across Analytics, Design, Fulfillment, Communications, Compliance, Support, and other Product and Engineering teams.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Risk and Fraud. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. Grow, lead, and empower a team of senior product managers, responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions that mitigate risk across a number of verticals including account security, seller risk, and checkout fraudDrive roadmaps that enable automation and our “machine learning first” approach to detectionRepresent Risk in initiatives led by other organizations, enabling the business to grow while ensuring we build appropriate product protections to maintain a trusted marketplaceOwn and develop the product strategy and roadmap. Prioritize work thoughtfully and communicate commitments and updates to partners on an ongoing cadenceLead the performance (and measurement) of the team’s product experiences, including impact to the business and our customersMeet or exceed critical business metrics (KPIs) and consistent execution against quarterly/annual goals; communicate progress and impediments to senior leadershipIntegrate user research, market analysis, and customer feedback into product requirements to ensure products satisfy customer needsRegularly present to our company executives on roadmap progress, strategy and prioritizationOf course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
