Role Purpose:

This role will incorporate a wide range of FinCrime prevention responsibilities on the issuing and acquiring side of Curve. This role will be responsible for implementing data driven strategies that can effectively manage fraud losses globally. Additionally, the incumbent will support chargeback management in close coordination with our payment partners to maximise recoveries.


The role will include performing both advisory and investigative activities and will be a key point of contact for both the business and operational teams regarding Fraud, CDD and AML related queries and projects.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Implementing and managing effective Fraud prevention strategies using a highly analytical data driven approach.

  • Conduct deep dive analysis to come up with these strategies weighed against GTV impact and managing a delightful customer experience.

  • Building effective and collaborative relationships with Data in building out effective fraud prevention capabilities.

  • Managing the preparation and collation of appropriate fraud-related management information to senior management.

  • Performing regular fraud trend analysis and providing actionable recommendations that can maximise risk/reward trade-off and effectively utilise fraud resources.

  • Maximising ROI on vendor solutions and working closely with vendors to gather industry best practices.

  • Keeping up to date with statutory and regulatory developments in relation to fraud prevention that impact on our teams.

  • Involvement in projects or the development of new products, services, distribution channels or new technology to assess FinCrime risk and provide advice and guidance to mitigate any identified risks.


Requirements


  • 1+ years experience in Data Analysis, preferably in a loss mitigation function; ideally with an industry-recognised qualification in this area

  • Experience in preparing regulatory and business reports, being familiar with formal report writing, producing high-quality written reports and summaries

  • Maintain a fluid understanding of best practices and procedures in FinCrime prevention and typologies

  • Experience in fraud rule writing whilst considering PSD2 requirements

  • Skilled at planning, organising, co-ordinating and working well under pressure and to strict deadlines

  • Demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail

  • Be well-versed in working independently, displaying effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation
