Sitting within ASB's Financial Crime Compliance division, our specialist Analytics teams have responsibility for setting the analytics strategy for combating Financial Crime.

Head Of Financial Crime Compliance Analytics

ASB's Financial Crime Analytics team has a wide remit across Financial Crime, this newly created role will lead Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) analytics function and specialist team who work to support ASB in combating financial crime. Ideally you will have previous experience in the field, but we really want you to bring your strong Analytics and strategic skills to play a key part in our developing FCC programme.

Leading the FCC Data Analytics area in setting the strategy for financial crime compliance analytics, developing and maintain fit for purpose rules across screening models and frameworks to ensure they remain in line with industry best practice. You will also have the opportunity to become involved in more general analytics work relating to Financial Crime compliance at ASB, and own the relationship with counterparts at CBA. This is a growing area of specialisation, and one that offers incredibly varied and challenging work.

You will have experience in a range of current analytics tools such as SQL, SAS and an interest in learning more about Financial Crime, AML and Financial Services. A key part of our success is engaging with a range of stakeholders and being able to clearly explain technical concepts, therefore strong communication skills are essential.

Proven leadership experience in a similar level roleExperience leading technical teams to develop scorecards and rulesets using statistical techniques.Exposure to the rigors and requirements of working in a regulated industry.Demonstrated experience in data analytics and model development/management.Previous SQL and SAS experience and use of other tools to extract and utilise complex data sets from a range of data sources.Experience with risk management frameworks.A background within Financial Services, Financial Crime, AML and/or Fraud is preferable but not essential.Strong continuous improvement mind-set and previous project and change management experience are required.
