The fraud team is dedicated to safeguarding Sparrow and our customers against malicious actors . This team has a genuine desire to help consumers avoid deception, safeguard identities, and keep us one-step ahead of fraudsters.
About The Role
Seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Fraud Investigations team at the forefront of safeguarding our customers' financial security. As the Lead Fraud Investigations Analyst, you'll take charge of tackling fraudulent activities spanning from new applications to existing accounts. Your expertise in navigating identity theft claims, pinpointing high-risk account activity, and managing chargebacks will be pivotal. Beyond just managing cases, you'll inspire and mentor a team of investigators, ensuring every resolution is swift and strategic. An individual in this role should have a passion for research, emerging fraud trends in consumer lending, and keeping consumers safe from the bad guys.
This person will report to the Manager of Fraud.
In This Role, You Will
Perform in-depth investigations of identity theft claims and provide suitable resolutions that ensure customer satisfaction while mitigating financial lossOversee dispute and chargeback handling processManage, lead, and provide daily support to a small team of junior investigatorsEnsure that fraud investigations follow compliance standards and are completed in a timely mannerLeverage several third-party tools to conduct investigationsIdentify process improvement opportunities and solutions to emerging fraud trendsWork closely with the fraud analytics team and leverage data in investigationsAs a member of a dynamic, fast-growing start-up, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute on a wide variety of other duties as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma; some college coursework or college degree preferred3+ years of fraud investigation experienceWorking knowledge of Reg Z, SAR reporting, and other regulations that relate to credit card fraudAbility to provide support to investigators and work complex cases as an individual contributorUnderstanding of the credit card dispute and chargeback process Ability to manage the delivery of a wide range of tasks and initiativesStrong interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office programs required; tech savvy, and able to quickly learn and navigate different software systems
