About The Role

Tebra is looking for a hands-on experienced merchant onboarding & chargeback specialist for a brand new high growth FinTech SaaS team to solve real-world problems for healthcare providers around the country. Patient financial responsibility for healthcare services has been steadily on the rise, creating the need for more streamlined and seamless methods of payment to meet healthcare providers and patient needs.

As a Merchant Onboarding & Chargeback Specialist, you will contribute and support merchant onboarding and underwriting, ongoing fraud monitoring, chargeback and merchant PCI compliance workflows with the established procedures and tools. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and operational policies in support of our payment platform. Our goal is to prevent payers, our customers, and our company from becoming victims of the growing payments fraud epidemic. Your Area of Focus

Gather customer information to conduct in depth analysis of customer data for “Know Your Customer” underwriting including customer due diligenceReview and processing of chargebacksReview changes of customer information related to paymentsReview detailed monitoring of payments transactional activities to detect and prevent payments risksConduct preliminary investigation of suspicious payment activity and suspected fraudulent activity, and work with senior staff to make recommendations for actions to be takenPerform in depth data analysis to identify outliers and trends, to identify and prevent fraud and contribute to continuously improve fraud strategy and controlsEnsure compliance with operational policies and applicable regulatory requirements

Your Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in FinTech or financial services risk and fraud prevention and/or investigationsExperience working in a start-up or otherwise fast-paced environmentExperience utilizing payments industry verification tools to identify suspect transactions, resolve alerts within SLAsExperience decisioning based on data and in accordance with policies and procedures, and within industry best practicesAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive informationData analysis skills using Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and common industry data analytic, database, and open-source information systemsUnderstanding of card brand rules and regulationsSelf starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize and analyze emerging trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsAttention to details
