Title: Payments Fraud Prevention Product Manager

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Hybrid schedule- 3 days a week in office- Mon, Wed & Thurs

Mission- This person will be joining the Wholesale Payments Fraud Team to work on the Fraud Engine Rebuild initiative. In addition to BAU, you will work on the fraud mitigation strategy, data analysis & rebuilding the fraud engine on the Cloud.


Day-to-Day:

As a Product Manager in Trust and Safety Fraud Prevention, you will be an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you will be responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you will guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. This is a very hands-on role, working with data, understanding different interfaces, and data mapping. They bridge the gap between the fraud apps team and the data team.

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.

  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.

  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.

  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.

  • Identifies promising fraud prevention hypotheses.

  • Utilizes data analysis skills to validate their hypothesis and ultimately present results in an easy-to-digest and persuasive manner.


Must Haves:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.

  • Experiance in a Fraud Prevention strategy role

  • SQL experience

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies

  • Experience writing queries, working with large amounts of data

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex blends of business and technical matters to a range of audiences; ability to articulate points clearly as well as concisely.

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience with MS Office Suite


Plusses:

  • Strong technical acumen including experience with web service protocols/technologies and knowledge of big data and cloud computing.

  • Familiarity with both United States (US) and International Wires, Book Transfers, Foreign Exchange (FX) transactions, low-value Automated Clearing House (ACH / iACH), various Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) schemes, and wallet transactions.
