What You’ll Do

As a Risk Analyst you will assist in the identification and prevention of potential losses before they happen. You are tasked with upholding our Risk Policy which serves to mitigate the financial impact of fraud, abuse, and waste while assuring profitability. Your curious investigative mind and eye for detail will serve you well as you make underwriting decisions in accordance with the Risk Policy as well as mitigating fraud and card testing events. You are on the frontlines performing daily funding and transaction reviews, as well as ongoing account monitoring. You are a problem solver who searches for the who, what, where, and why. You will bring the experience and expertise you gain in educating other internal teams and customers in fraud prevention and anti-money laundering through our payment systems.


  • Serve as underwriting escalation for onboarding and account updates

  • Assist Risk Manager with AML training

  • Manage and support chargebacks

  • Monitor and manage transaction activity, card testing and fraud events

  • Monitor and manage customer risk reserves

  • Manage monthly OFAC and Website monitoring

  • Complete daily funding and risk review

  • Escalate risk matters and function issues to Risk Manager, processor contacts, development teams, product teams, and legal leaders as needed, with clear and precise communication

  • Maintain detailed record keeping of items such as declined accounts, transaction monitoring, card testing events, and unusual activity reports

  • Assist Risk Manager with audits and compliance projects

  • Leverage Zendesk to track Risk Support requests and communications




Who You Are

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of customer service experience required

  • Adherence to industry standards and the Risk Policy

  • Hands on experience with operational tools; Zendesk/Ticketing Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • High critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Analytical and data driven

  • Clear and precise communication

  • Respond effectively to complex and ambiguous situations

  • Use a factual approach to decision-making by systematically collecting valid and reliable data

  • Draw from personal experience to assess processes to identify data or recommendations that need further investigation
