Role

Investigate individual events using internal policies and review methodologies to determine if the transactions/events are fraudulent or not.Identify trends and patterns associated with financial fraud and abuse, and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Research fraud and user behavior to contribute to machine learning models, rules and other detection systems.Build and publish dashboards for ongoing monitoring of Risk Operations performance. Develop ad hoc reporting to answer immediate business needs.Collaborate with stakeholders to improve our fraud prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.Learn and maintain strong domain knowledge of payments and bank fraud including prevention techniques and technologiesPresent clear and concise solutions/results to business leaders and management.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in data analysis or related roles, with strong proficiency in SQL.Proficiency in Python, R, and Snowflake is a plus.Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in time series data.Must be able to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.Comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.Work experience in fintech, payments, lending, banking, or financial institutions is a plusRole is located in Austin, TX. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate (relocation assistance will be provided for non-local applicants).This is a hybrid role with 4 days in office required per week.
