About The Job

The Financial Services Sales Division is looking for a Sr. Sales Manager who will oversee the Fraud and Risk Sales team. This person will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of SAS’s strategic corporate objectives within the financial services business unit through the implementation of fraud and risk solution sales and marketing strategy.

As a Sr. Sales Manager, You Will

  • Directs management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities focused on SAS” Risk and Fraud Solutions.

  • Generate new Risk and Fraud business through strategic-based selling and managing relationship with key customers, specifically at the executive level.

  • Works with Sales Management to develop sales strategy, including the determination of new solution offerings, relevance of new corporate software releases to customer market and utilization of corporate standard sales tools.

  • Helps identify and communicate approaches to improve SAS offerings and internal processes to meet new requirements.

  • Articulate to clients the business value of adopting a SAS solution, aligns pricing and negotiations towards enterprise-wide solutions and impact.

  • Uses knowledge of market, industry trends and competitors; as well as networking opportunities to stay connected.

  • Analyzes sales statistics for trends and summarizes for senior leadership.

  • Accurately forecasts new and renewal sales on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Creates with customer a business case on SAS technology & solutions and calculates value for the customer.

  • Follows news/trends of SAS market to execute /fit SAS solutions and technology with business focus. (Campaigns, sales initiatives, etc.)


Required Qualifications

  • Twelve years of experience in software sales including 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Computer Science, or quantitative field.

  • Financial crimes and/or risk background with industry and domain knowledge. Ideally the candidate has managed domain specific teams or sales teams dedicated to fraud, AML, or risk solutions.

  • Knowledge and experience managing AML/Fraud/Risk experts.

  • Experience navigating various levels of mature enterprise software organization.

  • Experience leading sales talent.

  • Experience creating and executing on defined business plan targeting banking and insurance clients.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a nationwide team, develop creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Ability to navigate a large network of stakeholders, within and outside the team structure, to gain consensus and participation in desired objectives.

  • Ability to identify emerging opportunity areas and lead team contributors to the maximize outcomes.

  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles, specifically in the hardware and software industry, as well as selling to Fortune 500 companies and/or large governmental institutions.

  • Extensive travel required.
